We bring the music school to you! Music at Your Doorstep has all the benefits of a music school (qualified teachers, recitals, and more!). We just deliver them to your doorstep!

Our school was started by a two music teachers so it was designed with the student and teacher in mind. Music at Your Doorstep takes care of everything the billing, all the paperwork, organizing the recitals, etc so you and your teacher can just concentrate on your music lessons! We also have a full time staff ready to help our students and teachers at any time!
Membership
No contracts! No fine print! No need to pay for months or years at a time. Students at Music at Your Doorstep pay for lessons on a monthly basis. We want music lessons to be affordable for everyone!

We offer lessons on almost every instrument that you can think of!
When can I start?
We provide music lessons 365 days a year! You can enroll at any time! You can start lessons in as little as a week or schedule a future start date. We work around your scheduling needs!
What age is best to start music lessons?
The earlier a child can be exposed to music, the better! Music has so many benefits
beyond music education! Music increases math, reading, spatial skills, and SAT scores. It
teaches commitment, organization, self discipline and positive social skills and increases a
child’s self esteem!
You are never too old to start!! We offer lessons for all ages, 4-104! The best time to start lessons is when the interest is there!
The following are average age recommendations for each instrument. The perfect age to begin lessons is ultimately dependant on the individual child. Some students find success at beginning lessons at a much earlier age than normally recommended. Other students benefit from waiting until an older age to start lessons.
- Piano: 4-6 years old and up
- Guitar: 8 years and up
- Voice: 10-12 years old and up for in-depth voice lessons, for more basic vocal lessons an earlier age is no problem
- Drums: 8-10 years old and up
- Band instruments: 8-9 years old and up
- String instruments: 5 years old and up
How long are lessons?
We offer 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, and 60 minute lessons!
The lesson length we most commonly recommend is 45 minutes. Since each student learns a bit differently, the best lesson length really depends on that individual student. You can change your lesson length at any time to fit the student’s progress or to better suit their needs!
What if I need to take some time off from lessons?
We completely understand that life can get busy! Music at Your Doorstep gives their students the option of postponing their lessons! Lessons and payments are suspended for a specified amount of time with no penalties! (Wouldn't it be great if you could put your gym membership on hold!)
What happens if I miss a lesson?
We understand that life can be busy and that is why Music at Your Doorstep allows and encourages make up lessons! If you will not be able to attend a regularly scheduled lesson, simply talk with your teacher to arrange the make up lesson option that works best for both of you.
There are also free lessons built into your membership so even if you can’t make up all of your missed lessons, you are getting your money’s worth!
Do you have recitals?
Music at your Doorstep has two recitals a year, a holiday recital and a spring recital. Recitals are not mandatory, but they are a lot of fun! Music at Your Doorstep works with our teachers to make our recitals a fun, encouraging and inspiring experience!
